Milwaukee emo band Barely Civil<\/strong> have confirmed they will be releasing a new album.\u00a0‘I\u2019d Say I\u2019m Not Fine’<\/em> will be released through Take This To Heart Records<\/strong> on March 22nd.<\/p>\n

With comparisons to Manchester Orchestra and MewithoutYou,\u00a0Barely Civil<\/strong> first captured our attention in 2018 with the release of\u00a0‘We Can Live Here Forever’<\/em><\/a>. Since then, they followed it up with 2020’s full-length, ‘I\u2019ll Figure This Out’<\/i>.<\/p>\n

As for their third album, ‘I\u2019d Say I\u2019m Not Fine<\/em>‘<\/i>, Barely Civil<\/b> vocalist\/guitarist Connor Erickson describes the album as “an amalgamation of the rage, pain, and self-framing that came in the wake of the COVID pandemic.”<\/em> Produced by TWIABP member\/producer Chris Teti, ‘I\u2019d Say I\u2019m Not Fine’<\/em> aims to deliver answers to the questions past releases produced. Erickson adds “Bitter at times, hopeful and direct in others, this album is a conscious attempt to answer the questions presented in the band’s debut and sophomore installments.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Listen to Barely Civil’s New Single – ‘Better Now’<\/em><\/h2>\n

To coincide with the album announcement,\u00a0Barely Civil<\/strong> has shared a new track called ‘Better Now<\/em>‘.<\/p>\n

Embracing a bold emo-rock tone with singalong hooks,\u00a0‘Better Now’<\/em> is carried with steady verses and radiant choruses. The track serves as a slight departure for Barely Civil<\/strong>‘s usual atmospheric and DIY tone. Nevertheless, it firmly retains the band’s core emo sound.<\/p>\n
