With the\u00a0ArcTanGent Festival\u00a0<\/strong>celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, they have gone all out today and delivered one of the biggest announcements ever. It sees over 50 acts be announced for the August gathering with\u00a0Mogwai<\/strong> and\u00a0Explosions In The Sky<\/strong> being announced as headliners, joining the previously announced Meshuggah<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Among the other names announced today are anonymous grindcore and jazz duo\u00a0Clown Core<\/strong>, Norwegian multi instrumentalist Ihsahn<\/strong>, post-metallers\u00a0Amenra<\/strong>, post-rock band\u00a0Caspian<\/strong>, Japanese psych rockers\u00a0Bo Ningen<\/strong>, and NYC hardcore crew\u00a0Show Me The Body<\/strong>. While the festival is pulling from all corners of the globe, there is an abundance of UK names on board including stoner\/doom metal band Electric Wizard<\/strong>, math-rock group Delta Sleep<\/strong>, and up and comming names such as Tokky Horror<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Zetra<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, because it is 10 years of\u00a0ArcTanGent<\/strong>, they’ve roped in instrumental trio\u00a0Brontide<\/strong> to reform for one show, where they will celebrate their second album, ‘Artery’<\/em>. Whereas festival favourites, earthtone9<\/strong>, will also be appearing to mark the occasion.<\/p>\n

“As we\u2019re celebrating 10 years of ArcTanGent we made a list of the bands that have never played that we\u2019ve always wanted to make it more special than ever, and naturally Mogwai were top of that list,”<\/em> said Arctangent<\/strong> Festival organiser and booker James Scarlett .”We\u2019re over the moon to also be bringing the likes of Electric Wizard and Clown Core to their first ever ATG. We weren\u2019t lying when we said our 10th year is going to be the biggest ATG ever – it\u2019s going to be biblical!”<\/em><\/p>\n
