Brummy bruisers\u00a0Last Hounds<\/strong> is a band that constantly sticks to their roots. Their latest cut, ‘Heart’<\/em>, strides with confidence, embracing hip-hop grooves with metallic guitars and an impactful punk-fuelled chorus.<\/p>\n

Never afraid to share what’s on their mind, ‘Heart’ <\/em>sees Last Hounds<\/strong> being upfront, taking a socially-conscious approach about not fitting in, and how we have to put on a front to get by. “Sometimes, how we portray ourselves on the outside isn\u2019t true to who we really are inside\u201d<\/em> explains bass player Ben Taylor. \u201c’Heart’ deals with the fear of not being accepted or fitting in with what some people call \u2018social normality\u2019. In reality, we shouldn\u2019t be afraid to scream from the rooftops, and show who we really are!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The track maintains the quintet’s “crossover punk” approach, which was shown on last November’s single, ‘Bubbles<\/a>‘<\/em>. Along with\u00a0‘Heart’<\/em>,\u00a0Last Hounds<\/strong>‘ attempts to broaden beyond their hardcore punk roots are paying off. ‘Heart’<\/em> moulds together elements of nu-metal, punk, and hardcore. While there is a hint of Turnstile coolness and early Deftones’ in its chorus, there’s still a grittiness to what\u00a0Last Hounds<\/strong> presents.<\/p>\n
