L.S. Dunes<\/strong> have returned with a new single titled\u00a0‘How Dare You’<\/em>. The quintet’s comeback sees them pushing the boundaries, both sonically and emotionally, of their post-hardcore sound.<\/p>\n

With Anthony Green’s distinctive voice, Tim Payne’s bass groove complementing Frank Iero and Travis Stever’s intricately sonic guitar work, as well as Tucker Rule’s textured drums, it marks a welcome return for\u00a0L.S. Dunes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Green spoke in length about the track, summarising it being “the mentality behind what you choose to grab as you\u2019re running out of your burning house. Except the burning house is in the dirt underneath your dentist\u2019s fingernails.”<\/em><\/p>\n

The L.S. Dunes<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>vocalist goes on to explain; “<\/em>My parents had just sold the house I grew up in and I had just gotten sober again for the millionth time when I felt like what I imagine people say when they use the phrase \u201cborn again\u201d. Even though I hadn\u2019t lived there in years, I was still holding onto so much baggage and drama. I used to think my parents had an alarm system at that house connected to the police that would alert them in case we were ever in trouble. I think I told myself this because it brought me comfort. All I would ever see on the news was that people would get robbed, and I thought that was something that happened a lot, but that we were safe from it all because of the silent alarm we didn\u2019t actually have.<\/em><\/p>\n

This song became a way for me to examine the transformation I was making into being an adult in this world where I used to view all adults as oppressors of magic. Now I get to be a proponent of its growth and celebrate change and communication.<\/em><\/p>\n

For me, this song sets the stage for the new era of L.S. Dunes. It\u2019s about pushing yourself beyond your limits and giving your all to something in order to achieve alternate states of consciousness and connection.”<\/em><\/p>\n

L.S. Dunes<\/strong> released their debut full-length, ‘Past Lives’<\/em>, in late 2022. They marked its 1st anniversary with a demo collection called ‘Lost Songs: Lines and Shapes’<\/em>.<\/p>\n

With the likelihood of further new music on the way,\u00a0L.S. Dunes<\/strong> will be returning to the UK in May for the\u00a0Slam Dunk Festival<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
