Emerging quartet\u00a0All Ears Avow<\/strong> have constantly taken a do-it-yourself approach, and their latest single,\u00a0‘Bird On A Wire’<\/em>, continues that mindset. More importantly, it highlights their driving melodic flair. The combination of Claire Sutton’s soaring, passionate vocals and Jake Willcock’s playful riffs lead the energetic track.<\/p>\n

Based in Swindon,\u00a0All Ears Avow<\/strong> has been moulding their brand of thought-provoking pop-rock for the best part of the decade. On ‘Bird On A Wire’<\/em>, Sutton contemplates the shocking and disappointing actions people do.\u00a0“I found myself in a headspace of just feeling rather sick of what the human race – our species that\u2019s meant to be so intelligent – was capable of”<\/em> states Sutton who also produced the track.\u00a0“Maybe I\u2019d gotten particularly caught up watching the news that morning. It was everything from the absolute atrocities going on across the world; the wars, mass murder, school shootings, climate change, animal cruelty, human cruelty – and how so often we just look the other way and keep going about our business as if we don\u2019t even notice our world is on fire around us. “<\/em><\/p>\n

As for its title, Sutton explains it’s a metaphor for how one misstep can lead to terrible ramifications. “Most of us are all so safe on our perch, but if we were to take one step in the wrong direction it could have catastrophic consequences.”<\/em><\/p>\n
