Having recently joined\u00a0Pure Noise Records<\/strong>, Oklahoma quartet\u00a0Ben Quad<\/strong> have announced their label debut will be released next month. It’s titled\u00a0‘Ephemera’<\/em> and will be a five-track EP.<\/p>\n

The announcement sees the four-piece share a track called\u00a0‘”Your Face as an Effigy’<\/em>. It showcases\u00a0Ben Quad<\/strong>‘s dynamism, utilising blast beats, effective melodies, and rapid guitar fret play.<\/p>\n

\u201cLyrically, this is the most open-ended on the EP. This song is about finding solidarity within the group you identify with and overcoming the deceivers who seek to ruin you,”<\/em> commented\u00a0Ben Quad<\/strong>. “The music video highlights this concept of solidarity by focusing on the brotherhood aspect of the band. The political undertones of the song title were purposeful in the sense that we wanted to paint a picture of overcoming a system that seeks to destroy us.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

The theme of\u00a0societal decay appears throughout ‘Ephemera’<\/em>. Its five songs promise to take that anger and direct it into action.<\/p>\n
