Canadian hardcore favourites Counterparts\u00a0<\/strong>have surprised fans with a new EP.\u00a0‘Heaven Let Them Die’<\/em> was released today and consists of six new songs.<\/p>\n

Coming in at just under 17 minutes,\u00a0 ‘Heaven Let Them Die’\u00a0<\/em>is described by\u00a0Counterparts<\/strong> vocalist Brendan Murphy as the band’s\u00a0“most aggressive \u2014 sonically, lyrically and visually”<\/em> release. He adds that it lyrically follows up where 2022’s\u00a0A Eulogy for Those Still Here’<\/em> ended. “It details how I came to terms with all I had foreshadowed in the previous release and how that led me to where I am now. This EP is the most authentic representation of Counterparts to date \u2014 honest, harsh and without restraint,”<\/em> Murphy shared.<\/p>\n

The release of\u00a0‘Heaven Let Them Die’<\/em> is complemented by a double video for\u00a0‘A Martyr Left Alive’<\/em> and\u00a0‘No Lamb Was Lost’<\/em>. While a vinyl release is available to pre-order through\u00a0Pure Noise Records<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

It is the second time the Ontario group have surprised us with a release this year. In July they shared\u00a0‘Live In Toronto’<\/em>,<\/a> a recording of a late December 2022 show in their hometown province.<\/p>\n
