Titled\u00a0<em>&#8216;The Father of Make Believe&#8217;<\/em>, it will be released through\u00a0<strong>Virgin<\/strong> on March 14th, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The album will continue the ongoing narrative of <em>&#8216;The Amory Wars \/ Vaxis&#8217;<\/em> universe. While <i>&#8216;The Father of Make Believe&#8217;<\/i> maintains <strong>Coheed and Cambria<\/strong>&#8216;s sonic flourishes, it promises to put vocalist and lead guitarist Claudio Sanchez front and centre as the titular character. As a result, it sees Sanchez&#8217;s songwriting being more direct as he fights <em>\u201ca war within myself\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>An example of this\u00a0can be heard on their new single,<em> &#8216;Searching for Tomorrow&#8217;<\/em>. With its colourful, animated video, the track sees Sanchez and Travis Stever trade guitar riffs within a familiar rhythmic drive, courtesy of drummer Josh Eppard and bassist Zach Cooper. The end result is a vibrant reminder of\u00a0<strong>Coheed and Cambria<\/strong>&#8216;s melodic flair and guitar-led craftsmanship.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Coheed and Cambria - Searching for Tomorrow [Official Video]\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hDsYGLbmadg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>On the track, Sanchez commented, <em>&#8220;The song is a reminder that always looking for something better in your life robs you of being able to appreciate the good things you already have.&#8221;\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>With a dedicated fanbase,\u00a0<strong>Coheed and Cambria\u00a0<\/strong>won&#8217;t be disappointing them with a limited edition <em>&#8216;Vaxis Act III: The Father of Make Believe&#8217;<\/em> box set. It will include various exclusives as well as including the album as a CD and digital download. Fans will be able to get their hands on Blind Side Sonny&#8217;s fully wearable and functional helmet and neuro-dynamic display goggles, as well as a hardcover illustrated novella coffee table book.
