The first wave of names for next year’s\u00a0Reading and Leeds Festival<\/strong> have been announced. It sees\u00a0Bring Me The Horizon<\/strong> being confirmed as one of the headliners. With the festival having become increasingly diverse and varied in recent years, the other names set to headline are 2024 breakout star, Chappell Roan<\/strong>, Irish singer-songwriter Hozier<\/strong>, and controversial rapper Travis Scott<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Commenting on the news, Bring Me The Horizon<\/strong>‘s Oli Sykes commented, \u201cWe are beyond excited to be returning to Reading & Leeds for our first fully fledged headline slot. We are going to bring hands down the greatest show of our careers. It\u2019s going to be our only UK performance next year and the final European show of the NEX GEN campaign before the band take time away, so if you want to see BMTH next year, this truly is your only chance. Can\u2019t wait.\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n

Admittedly, the current Reading and Leeds Festival<\/strong> is littered with more misses than hits. That’s probably due to the wide breadth of genres the festival covers, and also because this writer is closer to 40 than the festival’s target demographic of 16 – 30 year olds.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, the first Reading and Leeds Festival<\/strong> announcement does contain a smattering of names from the rock, metal, and punk worlds alongside\u00a0Bring Me The Horizon<\/strong>. Joining them will be genre-bending arena rockers\u00a0Enter Shikari<\/strong>, UK hardcore post-punks High Vis<\/strong><\/a>, rowdy indie punks SOFT PLAY<\/strong>,<\/strong> as well as Pale Waves, <\/strong>South Arcade<\/strong>, and Lambrini Girls<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

While a handful of international bands will come from overseas to Reading and Leeds Festival 2025<\/strong>. Amongst them are Aussie pub rockers Amyl And The Sniffers\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0The Chats<\/strong>, Philadelphia’s Mannequin Pussy<\/strong>, and L.A. riot grrrl quartet The Linda Lindas<\/strong>. While\u00a0the crank hoggin’\u00a0 Bilmuri\u00a0<\/strong>will follow up their slot opening for\u00a0Sleep\u00a0<\/strong>Token<\/strong> by returning to the UK next August.<\/p>\n

As always, Reading & Leeds will take place across the August Bank Holiday weekend between Thursday 21st and Sunday 24th August 2025 at Richfield Avenue in Reading and Bramham Park in Leeds.<\/p>\n
