Today, the Southern UK band has shared details of their debut album. It&#8217;s called\u00a0<em>&#8216;Aether&#8217;<\/em> and will be released on March 28th.<\/p>\n<p>Over five years, <strong>Forlorn<\/strong> has embraced expressionist art, crushing soundscapes and paganism into their brand of progressive metal. On <em>&#8216;Aether&#8217;,<\/em> the quintet will pay tribute to the &#8216;elements&#8217; to create a dense, fierce and sonically stunning sound.<\/p>\n<p>As a preview, <strong>Forlorn<\/strong> have debuted a track called\u00a0<em>&#8216;Funeral Pyre&#8217;<\/em>. Led by Megan Jenkins&#8217; versatile vocals, the track highlights the band&#8217;s fiery and heavy sound. Alongside the production work of Sam Bloor (Graphic Nature, Black Coast, Dream State), <strong>Forlorn<\/strong> continue to be a promising and unique collective.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the track,\u00a0<strong>Forlorn<\/strong> shared <em>\u201c&#8217;Funeral Pyre&#8217; explores the element of fire and in this sense as a powerful divination tool. We took inspiration from the 1973 film \u2018The Wickerman\u2019 and the concept of human sacrifice, in order for things to grow. We invite people to join us as we shed our naysayers and become stronger together.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In addition to\u00a0<em>&#8216;Funeral Pyre&#8217;<\/em>,\u00a0<em>&#8216;Aether&#8217; <\/em>will feature previous singles,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/qNi-QGr1Bvg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>&#8216;Spirit&#8217;<\/em><\/a> and\u00a0<em>&#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/vOvrBbGknhc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Creatress&#8217;<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>A video for the track can be viewed below.<\/p>\n<p>An album release show Black Heart in London will take place on March 28th.
