Did you manage to listen to all of last week’s releases<\/a>? Yeah, probably not! But life goes on, so here’s your weekly #NewMusicFriday\u00a0<\/strong>goodness.<\/p>\n

My first recommendation of the week is\u00a0‘Are We All Angels’<\/em> by\u00a0Scowl<\/strong>. With last week’s\u00a0Deafheaven<\/strong> release being one of my favourite releases of the year so far, the second full-length from\u00a0Scowl<\/strong> is joining that growing list. You can read my full review of it here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The other two featured releases this week come from\u00a0Air Drawn Dagger<\/strong> and\u00a0Thornhill<\/strong>. The former release their debut album,\u00a0‘A Guide For Apparitions’, <\/em>today. It sees the Sheffield three-piece continue to show promise. Whereas, the latter,\u00a0‘Bodies’,<\/em> sees the Aussie outfit produce an aesthetically pleasing brand of alt-metal. Have a read of my thoughts on these below.<\/p>\n

Further afield, Scottish metallers\u00a0Bleed From Within<\/strong> drop their seventh album, ‘Zenith’<\/em>. The ridiculously named\u00a0Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs<\/strong> return another array of psych rock\/sludge numbers with\u00a0‘Death Hilarious<\/em>.’ Finnish upstarts\u00a0Luna Kills<\/strong> mark their arrival with\u00a0‘DEATHMATCH,’\u00a0<\/em>showcasing their rapid and melodic brand of nu-metal. South Carolina’s Florida Man<\/strong> presents an intriguing hybrid mix of hardcore punk and noise rock, with electronic experimentation on ‘PLASTIQUE.’\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

There’s also the return of art-rock\/indie\u00a0group Black<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0Country, New Road<\/strong>. <\/strong>Meanwhile,\u00a0Meshuggah<\/strong> give us the\u00a0The Indelible Edition’\u00a0<\/em>of their 2020 album – ‘Immutable’.\u00a0<\/em>You can find new releases from\u00a0<\/span>feminist theatre-punks\u00a0Twat Union<\/strong>, New England mod-punks\u00a0Perennial<\/strong>, and more.<\/p>\n
