Happy Lagwagon day to all that celebrate, but perhaps more importantly, it’s #NewMusicFriday.\u00a0<\/b>It’s a stacked week of releases with a mix of highly anticipated albums and a few noteworthy releases that may sneak under your radar.<\/p>\n

As it’s one of those jam-packed releases, not everything I wanted to preview was possible. For example, the eighth album from\u00a0Bury Tomorrow<\/strong>,\u00a0‘Will You Haunt Me, With That Same Patience’, <\/em>and another being ‘Mened\u00e9k’<\/em> from Hungarian post-rock trio\u00a0T\u00d6RZS<\/strong>. Nevertheless, I did listen to the new releases from The Callous Daoboys<\/strong>, Pelican<\/strong>, Arm’s Length<\/strong>, and Soot Sprite<\/strong>, which you can read my thoughts on below.<\/p>\n

Today also see rising rockers Sleep Theory<\/strong> release their debut album,\u00a0‘Afterglow’<\/em>.\u00a0Linkin Park<\/strong> gives their ‘From Zero’\u00a0<\/em>the deluxe treatment, a mere six months since its initial release.\u00a0Stand Atlantic<\/strong> do it too with last August’s ‘WAS HERE’<\/em> record.\u00a0LA industrial\/electrical duo Youth Code<\/strong> return after four years with ‘Yours, With Malice’<\/em>. Florida pop-rockers Arrows in Action<\/strong> deliver “side A of their ‘I Think I\u2019ve Been Here Before’<\/em> LP.<\/p>\n

If you want more metalcore, then there’s ‘Coda’<\/em> by\u00a0Novelists<\/strong>, and ‘This Pain Will Serve You,’<\/em> the new record from London-based group\u00a0Confessions of a Traitor<\/strong>. While Dundee pop-rockers Copper<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0Lungs<\/strong> return with\u00a0‘Broken Beautiful’<\/em>. There is also new music from Irish post-punks <\/span>M(h)aol<\/strong>, French <\/span>atmospheric\/post-metal sludge duo <\/span>Nvage<\/strong>,<\/span> and the brilliantly named Greek technical punk band,\u00a0Qualia and the Five Ancestors of the Great Maryland Kingdom<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n
