{"id":98969,"date":"2025-05-20T20:17:04","date_gmt":"2025-05-20T19:17:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alreadyheard.com\/staging\/?p=98969"},"modified":"2025-05-20T20:17:04","modified_gmt":"2025-05-20T19:17:04","slug":"ithaca-ithaca","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alreadyheard.com\/staging\/ithaca-ithaca\/","title":{"rendered":"Ithaca Release Final Single"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/alreadyheard.com\/staging\/ithaca-split-and-final-show\/\">With their final headline show done and dusted<\/a>, and a final\u00a0<strong>ArcTanGent<\/strong> appearance scheduled for this summer,\u00a0<strong>Ithaca<\/strong> have treated fans to one final track.<\/p>\n<p>The eponymous track sees the UK metalcore provide a stern reminder of their technical prowess and metallic force.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;&#8216;Ithaca&#8217; means home, the place you return to when the journey is complete,&#8221;<\/em> commented the band. <em>&#8220;In this final song, we put this band to rest. Every memory, every tear, every laugh is in here. Thank you for everything. Om namo naryanaya.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ithaca<\/strong> announced their split last October. In their time together, they released two albums: 2019&#8217;s <em>\u2018The Language Of Injury&#8217; <\/em>and 2022\u2019s\u00a0<em>\u2018They Fear Us\u2019<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside announcing a final headline show, that took place in London on February 8th, the band shared the following message:<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Ithaca is coming to an end. This was a huge decision to make, but it\u2019s the right time.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThere\u2019s been no falling out or creative differences, in fact we\u2019re closer than ever, we\u2019re just no longer able to balance our life responsibilities with giving you the standard of art that you deserve, and feel like we\u2019ve fulfilled more than our wildest dreams could have imagined in terms of where this band would take us.
