Watford math\/emo collective Lakes<\/strong> have shared the latest track from their upcoming\u00a0‘Slow Fade’<\/em> record.\u00a0‘Trouble’\u00a0<\/em>captures the sextet in a plucky and dynamic mood, showcasing their math-rock capabilities with warm melodies. It also features Ben Littlejohn from US indie-pop stalwarts Hovvdy on Pedal Steel.<\/p>\n

Commenting on the track, vocalist Roberto Cappellina, shared ‘Trouble’\u00a0<\/em>is “about chatting to your mates on MSN while downloading music from Limewire. Fun fact: The original demo was called \u2018Hovvdy\u2019, which is a nod to the chord sequence Matt (Shaw, Drums) had written for it.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

‘Trouble’<\/em> will be the final track to be released from ‘Slow Fade’<\/em>. Lakes<\/strong>‘ fourth album will be released on July 4th through their own label, Lucky Art<\/strong>. The label is a collaboration with UK indie label Big Scary Monsters<\/strong>.\u00a0‘Slow Fade’<\/em> will also feature previous singles,\u00a0‘Versions<\/a>,’<\/i> ‘Hypernpw,’<\/i><\/a> and ‘Peach Fuzz’<\/a><\/i>.
