Their sophomore record,\u00a0<em>&#8216;these things happen,&#8217;<\/em> will be released on September 12th.<\/p>\n<p>The band, consisting of Esden Stafne (vocals\/bass), Gabe Wood (vocals\/drums), and Mitch Gulish (guitar), have emerged as one of emo&#8217;s rising names due to their\u00a0twinkly guitars, and heart-on-sleeve songwriting.\u00a0<em>&#8216;these things happen&#8217;<\/em> aims to take that foundation, and expand on it through a set of as introspective songs, yet explore the self-awareness of adulthood.<\/p>\n<p>For an example of what\u00a0<strong>sayp<\/strong> are all about, they&#8217;ve shared the album&#8217;s first single,\u00a0<em>&#8216;waste away&#8217;<\/em>. With its distinctive Midwestern ache, Stafne yearns for comfort as the trio delivers a driving emo number that is thoroughly sincere.
