It&#8217;s called <em>&#8216;Creature In The\u00a0 Black Night&#8217;<\/em> and will be released on Friday, 24th October via <strong>Spinefarm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The album sees the Southern Californian band collaborate with Daniel Braunstein (Spiritbox, Silent Planet) and mixed by Zakk Cervini (Blink-182, Bring Me The Horizon, Lorna Shore), on what is described as an <em>&#8220;eerie, and cinematic&#8221;<\/em> record <em>&#8220;threaded with dark (and sexy) emotional current.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s accompanied by conceptual consistency that dives into its shadowy visual identity, Grim Reaper iconography, and ominous<br \/>\natmosphere. It allows each track to unfold like chapters.\u00a0<em> &#8220;There\u2019s a horror-inspired vibe that took hold early on,&#8221; Rodriguez explains. &#8220;It wasn&#8217;t planned. But once it started showing up in the songs, we leaned into it,&#8221;<\/em> states vocalist Rory Rodriguez.<\/p>\n<h2>Watch the video for\u00a0<em>&#8216;Creature In the Black Night&#8217;<\/em><\/h2>\n<p>The announcement of\u00a0<em>&#8216;Creature In the Black Night&#8217;<\/em> also sees\u00a0<strong>Dayseeker<\/strong> share its title track. Opening with blood-drenched synths, Rodriguez&#8217;s distinct falsetto leads as his bandmates, Gino Sgambelluri (guitar), Ramone Valerio (bass), and Zac Mayfield (drums), build up the tension. Yet any preconceptions that the quartet are set to go &#8220;more commercial&#8221; is soon forgotten. Delivering a sharp breakdown that bursts out.\u00a0<em>&#8220;We&#8217;re riffing more, I&#8217;m screaming more. And it feels good. It feels<\/em> honest,&#8221; Rodriguez shares when commenting on the track. Lyrically, it\u2019s a tale of toxic love, where obsession, desire, and pain blur the line between longing and suffering.
