It will also be their debut release on their new label home,\u00a0<strong>Run For Cover Records<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>As a band who have continuously reinvented and shifted their sound, <em>&#8216;Silver Bleeds\u2026&#8217;<\/em> continues this trend. The aim was to create a record that was\u00a0<em>&#8220;dreamy and ethereal&#8221;<\/em>. It results in\u00a0<strong>AFI <\/strong>pushing their influences to the forefront, resulting in a record that promises to be as dark as it is grandiose.<\/p>\n<h2>Hear AFI&#8217;s New Single &#8211; <em>&#8216;Behind the Clock&#8217;<\/em><\/h2>\n<p>To give fans a taster of this bold new era,\u00a0<strong>AFI<\/strong> have debuted a track called\u00a0<em>&#8216;Behind the Clock&#8217;<\/em>. Rumbling with Hunter Burgan&#8217;s bass and Jade Puget&#8217;s stirring guitar work, the quartet delivers a shadowy slice of goth-tinged post-punk that weaves new wave into\u00a0its cold fabric. Davey Havok&#8217;s distinctive voice bites through the murky tempo, led by drummer Adam Carson. Overall,\u00a0<em>&#8216;Behind the Clock&#8217;<\/em> is an enticing preview of\u00a0<em>&#8216;Silver Bleeds the Black Sun\u2026&#8217;<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The track&#8217;s music video is directed by Gilbert Trejo (Amyl &amp; The Sniffers, Starcrawler, Ekkstacy). The accompanying visual plays into the bleak tone of the track.\u00a0<em>\u201cWe wanted the video to feel like you\u2019re seeing something you shouldn\u2019t. In effect you are, because that\u2019s how Davey writes lyrics. He\u2019s expressing himself so openly, that you\u2019re let behind this curtain. It\u2019s a world that most artists don\u2019t cut to, marrow deep,<\/em>\u201d shares Gilbert Trejo<\/p>\n<p>Sharing the experience working with Trejo, vocalist Davey Havok said, <em>\u201cGilbert\u2019s video has sublimated the essence of \u2018Behind the Clock.\u2019 His vision and expertise is inspiring. Working with him was a privilege and utter joy.
