With their new album,\u00a0‘these things happen’<\/em><\/a> set to be released next month, emo three-piece\u00a0saturdays at your place\u00a0<\/strong>have shared its second single.\u00a0‘what am I supposed to do?’<\/em> highlights the Michigan-based band’s introspective lyricism through a familiar midwestern tone.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on individuality, people-pleasing, and the emotional toll it takes to keep your head above the water while on tour, it’s a delicate and contemplative offering.<\/p>\n

\u201cI needed somewhere to rant about my feelings while on tour,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0 commented vocalist\/drummer Gabe Wood on \u00a0‘what am I supposed to do?’<\/em>. \u201cBut through finishing this song, I\u2019ve learned a lot more about myself than anything else. I\u2019m still figuring out who I am, but I\u2019ve realised I have to respect my own emotions as much as I do everyone else\u2019s.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
