While <em>&#8216;\u2026huh&#8217;\u00a0<\/em>prolongs that presentation. Nevertheless, the Brighton quartet&#8217;s sophomore release thrives with fuzz-laden riffs and pure melodic hooks, underpinned by a raw and emotive narrative. Its 12 tracks whizz through with an abundance of energy, allowing tracks such as <em>&#8216;floss is boss<\/em>&#8216; and <em>&#8216;pitful&#8217;<\/em> to surge through with power chords aplenty. <em>&#8216;it doesn&#8217;t work&#8217;<\/em> rumbles thanks to the rhythmic pairing of bassist Chris Childs and drummer Sam Perkins.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile,\u00a0<em>&#8216;the middle&#8217;<\/em> is a mid-album joy. Reminiscent of early Weezer, Jared Tomkins&#8217; sincere words soar as Jordan Lilford brings the\u00a0<em>&#8220;ooh ooh&#8221;<\/em>s.\u00a0<em>&#8216;i was am idiot&#8217;<\/em> demonstrates\u00a0<strong>rbrc<\/strong>&#8216;s tendency to go off-kilter. Yet it is the use of big melodies and dizzying riffs on the likes of <em>&#8216;i will&#8217;<\/em> and\u00a0<em>&#8216;no respect for knights&#8217;<\/em> where <strong>really big really clever\u00a0<\/strong>really shine.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond the hooks is a sincere and honest side. Whether that&#8217;s looking for each other, dealing with regrets, or struggling through the daily grind. It\u2019s a powerful reminder to look out for each other and stay aware in a world where danger can hide in plain sight.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>floss is boss<\/h2>\n<p><em>The song &#8216;floss is boss&#8217; explores the intense, turbulent emotions of someone whose love has spiralled into an all-consuming obsession. The song captures the paradox of love that is both passionate and possessive, teetering on the edge of self-destruction.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>it doesn\u2019t work<\/h2>\n<p><em>The song &#8216;it doesn\u2019t work&#8217; is about the day-to-day grind of anyone who struggles to get by with money and work.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>the middle<\/h2>\n<p>&#8216;<em>the middle&#8217; explores the emotional strain and evolving expectations that can often come from personal connections.
