Foo Fighters have shared details of their twelfth studio album. It’s called ‘Your Favorite Toy’ and will be released through Roswell/RCA on April 24th.
The follow-up to 2023’s ‘But Here We Are’ will consist of 10 tracks. Among them is the title track, which has been released today and can be heard below. It’ll also include ‘Asking For A Friend,’ which was released last October.
The title track proves to be a gritty offering with Dave Grohl’s distorted vocals being paired up with Foo Fighters‘ familiar brand of stadium rock.
“’Your Favorite Toy’ really was the key that unlocked the tone and energetic direction of the new album. We stumbled upon it after experimenting with different sounds and dynamics for over a year, and the day it took shape I knew that we had to follow its lead,” explained Grohl. “It was the fuse to the powder keg of songs we wound up recording for this record. It feels new.”
The album is co-produced with Oliver Roman and is the band’s first album since drummer Ilan Rubin joined the band last year.
Foo Fighters will be back in the UK in the summer for two headline shows at Anfield Stadium in Liverpool.
