Emerging New Jersey band Flycatcher are preparing to release their new album, ‘Wrench,’ next month through producer Will Yip’s Memory Music label. Having shared ‘Truth’ alongside the album announcement last month, the quartet have dropped another single. ‘Flood’ thrives on a big chorus, matching the bold percussion on show while being complemented by Americana-tinged, worn-in emo guitars. At its core, there’s Gregory Pease’s raspy, lived-in vocals.
When put alongside ‘Truth’ and ‘Brother’, ‘Flood’ shows Flycatcher are a band to keep tabs on in the coming weeks and months. Their emotive brand of indie rock continues to prove to have a magnetic quality.
