Marmozets Announce New Album and Share New Single

Marmozets have set a release date of May 22nd for their long-awaited third album. ‘CO.WAR.DICE’ will be released through Nettwerk Music, and will feature the band’s recent singles, ‘Kiss From A Mother’ and ‘You Want The Truth’. It’ll also include their new single, ‘New York’.

“‘CO.WAR.DICE.’ is an album reflecting on the state of our world and a vow to ourselves to leave this world in a better place. We may never make a huge impact, but we can only try,” shared vocalist Becca Bottomley. “Like any story there’s a beginning, middle, and an end, and we’ve chosen for a happy ending.”

‘CO.WAR.DICE’ promises to capture Marmozets’ ferocious energy with Bottomley’s blood-letting vocals and jagged riffs being paired with melodically-leaning songs.

As for their latest track, ‘New York,’ Becca shared that its inspiration came from the band’s visit to the “big apple”.

“New York is an eccentric city, full of eccentric people and that inspires us. We reminisced of our first trip over a bottle of red as we recorded ideas,” the Marmozets vocalist commented. “We wanted to write something that kind of encapsulated that 70’s punk energy while painting a picture of this wild experience we had of playing a show downtown to secure our first record deal.”

Skindred Preview New Album with ‘This Is The Sound’

Welsh ragga metal legends Skindred continue to tease their forthcoming album, ‘You Got This’. ‘This Is The Sound’ sees the trio deliver an infectious preview of their ninth album.

Frontman Benji Webbe says about the track, “Skindred’s sound has always been about fearlessly sailing on uncharted waters and using multiple influences to get the melting pot of ideas really smoking. ‘This Is The Sound’ pulls together evil dance hall vibes with a booming metal grind that hopefully makes you want to bang your head and scream along with the chorus. THIS IS THE SOUND THAT MAKES YOU GO CRAZY!”

‘You Got This’ is set to be released on April 17th.

Sweet Pill Release New Single (‘Slow Burn’)

Philadelphia’s Sweet Pill have released their latest single, ‘Slow Burn’. The driving track is the latest preview from their upcoming (and anticipated) new album, ‘Still There’s A Glow’.

The track sees vocalist Zayna Youssef wrestle with anxiety and overthinking. “I kept seeing a cigarette and how every slow drag fills you up with literal death, but the exhale feels so good–the irony of how something that feels good is so bad for you. There are countless things in my life I take a deeeep, slow drag from that really don’t benefit me. These habits have a short-term satisfaction, but the long-term effect can be just one big slow burn,” she explains. “The song and video explore anxiety disguised as cameras and their constant surveillance. A snapshot into the mind of someone who overthinks to the point of ‘seeing things’ that may not even be there.  Whether I am battling confidence or bad habits, overthinking can be so habitual. It kind of traps you in this circular purgatory, which you find me  running in and out of.”

‘Still There’s A Glow’ is set to be released on March 13th.

Magnolia Park Set to Expand ‘VAMP’ Universe with Deluxe Edition

On March 13th, Magnolia Park will ‘NIGHTS AFTER VAMP,’ an expanded edition of last year’s ‘VAMP’ record. It’ll include six new songs, including their new single, ‘HIGH’ (feat. Arrows in Action).

Sace6 Join Sumerian Records

Genre-bending R&B-metal duo sace6 have joined Sumerian Records. The New York/New Jersey duo of Sace and Noah Thomas have also debuted a track called ‘ego’.

On joining the label, the duo said, “For us, Sumerian was always more than a label, they were a movement. Growing up, they were a gateway into a world that we were always certain we would find ourselves existing in, side by side with the music and the artists that raised us. Sumerian has been a home to endless icons, and we are forever grateful to reside here and begin our own prodigal story.”

‘ego’ demonstrates Sace6‘s ability to blend pop melodies with R&B intimacy and metal intensity, making them a name to watch. “Our latest single, “ego,” evokes the presence of someone assertive beyond necessity—overbearing even after they’ve already won you over, leaving hesitation in their wake,” say the band. Further new music is expected this year.
