The Amity Affliction Previews New Album with ‘Bleed’

Last month, The Amity Affliction revealed details of their new album, ‘House of Cards’. Ahead of its April 24th release, the Aussie metalcore group have shared another track from the album, ‘Bleed’.

The blistering track is described by vocalist Joel Birch as “a bit of a fuck you to people online who leave comments like they know me personally or know anything about what’s happening in my life.” Birch goes on to explain that ‘Bleed’ is “a bit of a reminder to myself that I am not beholden to that idea, and I am the person I know myself to be. “I bleed the way I bleed…” is my way of saying that I am the way I am, not the way I am perceived to be by people who don’t actually know me and have formed or projected an idea of me onto me by way of social media.”

Hear Tigers Jaw’s Latest Single, ‘Breezer’

With the release of ‘Lost on You’ fast approaching, Tigers Jaw have shared its latest preview in the form of ‘Breezer’.

With its fuzzy guitar, the track puts Brianna Collins in the role of lead vocalist. As the video shows, the track sees Collins explore themes of comfort, solitude, and self-connection. “I tend to romanticize past versions of myself in moments of uncertainty, while also finding comfort in life’s unpredictability,” states Brianna. “‘Breezer’ is about the ebb and flow of insecurity, doubt, and escapism, and my gradual acceptance of the cyclical nature of these feelings.”

On the accompanying music video, video co-directors Rebecca Lader and Kelsey Ayres said, “From the beginning, we imagined ‘Breezer’ as an inward journey–a world shaped by comfort, solitude, and self-connection rather than isolation. The film becomes Brianna’s inner landscape: a lived-in, ceremonial space where memory and ritual feel sacred and emotionally honest, and where her internal state shapes the visual world around her.”

‘Lost on You‘ is released on March 27th via Hopeless Records.

Portrayal of Guilt Announce New Album (‘…Beginning of the End’)

On April 24th, Portrayal of Guilt will return with a new album called ‘…Beginning of the End’. It will be released through Run For Cover Records.

As a band who treat each release with a new purpose and constant reinvention, ‘…Beginning of the End’ promises to see Portrayal of Guilt deliver an expansive collection. Among its eleven tracks, their fifth album covers genres such as avant-garde, nu-metal, alternative rock, trip-hop, dark ambient and other disparate influences.

As their new double single, ‘Ecstasy’ and ‘Human Terror’ showcase PoG‘s raw, dynamic depth. The former rides on a bass-y groove with trepiditating guitars, giving ‘Ectasy’ an uneasy feel. Whereas the latter is an intense, abrasive number executed with an abundance of grit.

Hammok Share New Album Details and Release New Single

Emerging Norwegian group Hammok have inked a deal with Sargent House for the release of their new album, ‘When Does This Place Become Our Scene’. The album will be released on June 5th.

To mark the announcement, the Oslo trio have shared a new track called ‘The Scene’. The track captures Hammok blend of vivacious hardcore energy and catchy pop melodies. It makes for a chaotic, fuelled with urgency.

‘The Scene’‘s origins begin amid touring in hardcore communities “somewhere in the middle of Europe,” and sees vocalist/guitarist Tobias Osland reflect and celebrate the brotherhood of the hardcore scene, even among strangers.

“Everything was sort of a natural response to how good the tour was going, and all the people we had met up to that point,” says Osland. “I wanted to capture and directly address the situation we were in – meeting people for the first time who give a shit about their community and the music around them.”
