Angel Du$t continue to drip-feed previews of their forthcoming ‘Cold 2 The Touch’ record ahead of its February 13th release. After sharing the semi-eponymous ‘Du$t’ and the album’s title track in recent months, ‘I’m The Outside’ sees the quintet deliver another bite-sized blast of melodic hardcore punk. With its bold guitars, punchy drums, and Justice Tripp’s charismatic vocals, it’s an infectious number that can easily be played on repeat.
“I’m the outside’ is the last song we wrote and coincidentally became my favorite song on the album,” Tripp wrote on Instagram. “The day before we started tracking, Steve [Marino] showed me this bad ass ‘Stone Temple Pilots riff’, and I was like, ‘man that feels cool with this verse I wrote a while back.’ Brian McTernan knew exactly where we were coming from and articulated the song in a way that nobody else could.” Tripp also added that ‘I’m The Outside’ makes him “want to bounce for joy and beat someone’s ass in a mosh pit.”
‘Cold 2 The Touch’ sees Angel Du$t once again work with producer Brian McTernan (Turnstile, Balance & Composure, Bane, Converge). While the likes of Scott Vogel (Terror), Frank Carter, Wes Einhold (American Nightmare and Cold Cave) and more make appearances on the 26-minute record.
