Drug Church Unveil New Single ‘Pynch’ & Autumn Tour Dates

Fresh off their recent tour supporting Deftones, New York punk outfit Drug Church has shared a new single. ‘Pynch,’ released via Pure Noise Records, is the closest the band have ever come to writing a love song, according to vocalist Patrick Kindlon. “This one is about meeting someone who won’t allow you to be a loser forever.”

With Kindlon’s distinct voice and Drug Church‘s overall muscular charge, ‘Pynch’ brilliantly builds on what 2024’s ‘PRUDE’ showed.

The track arrives alongside UK headline tour dates this autumn, with support from Liquid Mike and Downward..

As It Is Preview New Album with ‘Marilyn’

Transatlantic pop-rock quartet As It Is recently set a release date of July 17th for their new self-titled album.

Ahead of its release through FLG Records, they’ve shared a reflective cut called ‘Marilyn’. Taking shape in the form of a nostalgic alt-rock song, its bittersweet melodies and driving acoustic guitars make it a heartfelt track with plenty of sentiment.

“It’s never felt easier be a pessimist and nihilist, so writing a song about hope and humanity felt right. It’s about a near-stranger and their goodness making a big difference early on in your life, but how hindsight can make that difference even clearer,” shares frontman Patty Walters. “But it’s also about how people are never really gone – not while their words, actions, and values live on the people their lives have touched. Good people are everywhere, all around us, all the time. This song is about them, and it’s for everyone whose lives are better for knowing them.”

sace6 Detail Debut Album ‘Brutalist’ with New Track ‘Covet’

Having recently joined Sumerian Records, genre-bending R&B-metal duo sace6 have detailed their debut album ‘Brutalist’. It’s due for release on 8th May.

The announcement is accompanied by the release of a track called ‘Covet’. It highlights their use of R&B/pop melodies with crushing metal blasts and a steely undertone.

“‘covet’, remaining anchored to the definition of the word, is an audible representation for jealousy, wanting what/who someone else has to the point of being inept at moving within my own connection,” the duo stated.

Sugar Horse Tease ‘Not A Sound In Heaven’ with ‘Ex-Human Shield’

Bristol experimental outfit Sugar Horse are gearing up to release their new album, ‘Not A Sound In Heaven,’ on April 10th via Fat Dracula Records. The four-piece have shared its latest preview, ‘Ex-Human Shield’.

Never a band to hold back what they think, the track sees frontman Ash Tubb take aim at corrupt Governments.

“Britain is a country defined—and governed—by corruption. Our leaders are bought and paid for by corporations both homegrown and foreign,” Tubb explains. “Every few years we have the privilege of deciding which particular favour of corruption we want to vote for. Will it be the openly racist corrupt guy, or the one that hides it a bit better? Will it be the one who wants perpetual war or the one who will simply go to war reluctantly?”

“Regardless of how they seem to display themselves, they all seem to end up actioning the same life destroying policies, targeted at our society’s most downtrodden. ‘Ex-Human Shield’ is about that corruption. It’s about the perpetual cycle of Liberal Democracy and how it only ever seems to benefit those who already have everything anyway. They’d sell us all just to keep the machine running.”
