Danish alt-metal favourites MØL will make their return on January 30, 2026, with the release of their third album, ‘Dreamcrush’. The follow-up to 2021’s ‘Diorama’ will be released through Nuclear Blast Records. Its 11 tracks promise to see MØL expand their sonic horizons, embracing their aggressive sound with soaring melodies.
While past releases saw the quintet firmly leave their mark on the post-black metal genre, ‘Dreamcrush’ sees MØL incorporate alt-rock and shoegaze bands such as My Bloody Valentine, Cocteau Twins and Smashing Pumpkins as influences. It’s paired with a narrative that threads recurring themes of belonging, resilience and finding inner peace. “’DREAMCRUSH’ is an album about our hopes and aspirations being both a source of comfort and dismay,” explains Guitarist Nicolai Busse. “It’s about finding home within yourself and coming to terms with reality when the pillars of our lives are shook. The album is deeply personal to us and inspired by events from our lives that we are certain also resonates with other people.”

Hear MØL’s New Single – ‘Garland’
To mark the news of ‘Dreamcrush’s announcement, MØL have shared the record’s first single, ‘Garland’. It showcases their widened palette, using Kim Song Sternkopf’s guttural screams and baritone cleans to elevate the tonal shift the four-minute track takes. It results in a favourable and sharp preview of ‘Dreamcrush’.
“The song represents the broader scope of the album, yet only hints at the full journey, its shape and texture revealing fragments of the evolving sound and lyrical depth that define the record,” comments drummer Ken Lund Klejs
The track’s music video features acclaimed actor Kim Sønderholm. Directed by longtime collaborator John Bradburn, it homes in on ‘Dreamcrush’s central themes, highlighting its stark and haunting reflection.
“With each release, MØL are seeking to weave powerful imagery into both sound and vision, forging a sense of coherence across the singles while expanding the themes of DREAMCRUSH,” Klejs added. “To bring this vision into focus, we once again worked with filmmaker John Bradburn, whose eye and creative spirit we fully trust to illuminate the album’s core ideas.”
MØL Will Be Touring the UK in February 2026
Following the release of ‘Dreamcrush’ on January 30th, MØL will embark on a UK and European tour. It will include shows in London, Manchester, Glasgow, Leeds, Birmingham, and Bristol. They will be joined by Tayne and Cold Night For Alligators.
