Back in the summer, at the ArcTanGent Festival, we spoke to Alasdair Belling from the exceptional Australian post-rock band, We Lost The Sea.
In July, they released their first album in six years, ‘A Single Flower’. It saw the sextet build a bleak and beautiful world through a lengthy yet compelling record. Following its release, We Lost The Sea headed to the ArcTanGent Festival, where they played two sets.
Less than 24 hours removed from their first set of the weekend, Alreasy Heard‘s Sêan Reid spoke with Alasdair to discuss the set. As the band’s new drummer, Belling spoke about how he joined the band, and how he approached performing songs from the beloved ‘Departure Songs’ record as WLTS prepared to perform the album in full as their second set of the weekend. He also commented on ‘A Single Flower’s extensive closer, ‘Blood Will Have Blood’.
