Bring Me The Horizon Planning “Live Immersive Virtual Experiment” Cinema and Album Release

Bring Me The Horizon have announced they will be premiering a live concert film this spring.

‘L.I.V.E. in São Paulo (Live Immersive Virtual Experiment)’ was filmed at São Paulo’s Allianz Parque Stadium and will be shown in cinemas on March 25th and 28th. The film promises to blend “cinematic production with raw fan perspectives and striking character cameos including E.V.E, Selene and M8.”

A full list of participating cinemas and ticket links will be available at bmth.live from February 11th. It will be followed by the release of ‘L.I.V.E. IN SÃO PAULO’ on April 10th. The live album will be available digitally, as well as on vinyl and CD/DVD.

Free Throw Confirm New Album and Share New Single

Emo-rock quintet Free Throw has set a release date of March 27th for their new album, ‘Moments Before The Wind’.  Set for release through Wax Bodega (pre-order here), the announcement is joined by the release of its first single – ‘A Hero’s Grave’.

Working alongside longtime producer Brett Romnes (Hot Mulligan, The Movielife), the record chronicles a period of intense personal upheaval in vocalist/guitarist Cory Castro’s life. With a long-term relationship ending and impending fatherhood, the album’s narrative sees Free Throw‘s frontman go through a change.

“There was a lot to write about this time around, but getting over that threshold definitely took some time,” Castro says. “We tend to write albums that have a conceptual arc to them, but you just sort of have to let the songs reveal themselves and figure out what that actually is. When I got the call that I was going to be a dad, I immediately knew what song I was going to write. It just felt right.”

Kid Bookie Teams Up with Rose McGowan on New Single Called ‘Rose McGowan’

Genre-fluid metal artist Kid Bookie has debuted a new single called ‘Rose McGowan’. The track sees the UK artist collaborate with the artist, actress and best-selling author of the song’s title, Rose McGowan.

“In music culture, using a person’s name of relevance as a title track seems to be a prospect that garners attention or a marketing move to turn heads,” says Bookie on the meaning behind its title. “I enjoy being the antithesis of what people do and wanted to bring light to a special name, Rose McGowan. In history, I feel linear to people who have had to destroy and rebuild—not just themselves but the industries we were created in—to make things flow in different ways. Rose was a muse in that regard. I wanted to make a song about someone who isn’t just a buzzword for attention but who deserves to be highlighted as a potential beacon of changing the world to a large or small degree.” He continues, “We must follow the trail of the mavericks, the transgressors, because being too safe in an industry that prides itself on rebellion and using art to change the world. What better way than to highlight someone of the zeitgeist who did that, for their people and those who feel aligned with the dismantling of the industry bullshit. Salute to the fucking world.”

Wot Gorilla? Preview New Album with ‘Clowns

Math-pop specialists Wot Gorilla? have shared another taster of their new album. With ‘Stay Home’ set to be released on February 20th, the quartet have dropped a song called ‘Clowns’.

Besides its title, its subject matter is “about the impact of climate change and the frustrating reality that the people with the most power to make a difference seem to be turning a blind eye,” says vocalist and guitarist Mat Haigh

It’s like money always comes first, no matter what. I’m basically asking—why deny something that’s backed by so much science? And even if you’re not totally convinced, what’s the harm in doing something positive anyway? The title relates to people taking the piss out of those who care enough to speak up and try to protect the planet. That attitude really confuses me.”

Alex Melton Details Debut Album (‘The Process’)

Florence, SC-based multi-instrumentalist Alex Melton has revealed details of his debut album. Known for his emo, pop-punk and country covers, Melton will release ‘The Process’ on March 3rd via Pure Noise.

The album will consist of original material and is produced by Alan Day of Four Year Strong, who also co-wrote on the album. The announcement also sees the release of a track called ‘Look. Up’.

Sevendust Announce Their 15th Album (‘One’)

Currently on a European run supporting Alter BridgeSevendust have announced their 15th studio album. It’s called ‘One’ and will be released through Napalm Records on May 1st.

New Torus Single (‘Ruby Red’)

Milton Keynes-based fuzz rockers Torus have shared a new track called ‘Ruby Red’.

“On this new single we explore themes of obsession, emotional damage and losing control when you love too hard,” explains drummer Jack Orr. “The lyrics are raw and direct, channelling desert rock weight with modern grungy tension. This release continues our run of singles leading into our next EP, pushing the darker, heavier side of Torus.”

The track is released on Torus’ own label, Headcharge Records. The label aims to support and promote music from Milton Keynes, Northampton, and the surrounding areas.
