This week’s round of #NewMusicFriday releases sees impressive releases from The Scratch, Sweet Pill, and Shoreline. There is also returns from metal veterans Lamb of God, who deliver their 12th album, ‘Into Oblivion,’ along with Brighton alt-rockers Yonaka. ‘Until You’re Satisfied’ is their first album in seven years.
Elsewhere, Magnolia Park expands the fictional world of Nocturne Nexus with ‘Nights After Vamp,’ adding six tracks last year’s Vamp’ LP. Likewise, White Reaper add three tracks to last September’s ‘Only Slightly Empty’ re-release, titled ‘Only Slightly Expanded’.
Away from deluxe reissues, UNITYTX look to leave their mark with ‘Somewhere, In Between…’ Its blend of nu-metal, hardcore and hip-hop swagger is upfront, sticking a musical middle finger to anyone against them. The Front Bottoms’ Brian Sella goes it alone with ‘Well I Mean’ being his first release under the moniker of Sella. Joined by Emperor X on production, it sees Brian deliver a contemplative set of “post-anti folk” songs.
Finally, there is new music from “bedlamcore” artist n0trixx, rising prog/post-metallers Monosphere, Greek instrumental post-metal duo Salos, and more.
