Brian Fallon Shares First New Solo Material in Five Years

Brian Fallon has released two new tracks: ‘Not Bad for New Jersey’ and ‘Better Before’. It marks The Gaslight Anthem frontman’s first solo material in over five years.

Released through his own Lesser Known Records, it sees Fallon work with longtime collaborator Butch Walker at Walker’s studio just outside Nashville.

‘Better Before’ leans into the heartland rock sound that Fallon has often thrived in throughout his career, while ‘Not Bad for New Jersey’ is a gritty love letter to his home state.

“‘Not Bad for New Jersey’ is my way of celebrating what I do and where I’m from,” Brian Fallon says. “I wrote that song looking back on my life the way you do after almost ending up in a crash, like, ‘How did I make it through that?’ I really could’ve busted myself open somewhere along the way, but somehow I’m still here, and I’m still in one piece.”

Fallon‘s last proper studio album, ‘Local Honey’, was released in March 2020. He followed it up with ‘Night Divine’, a collection of classic hymns and Christmas carols in November 2021. The following year, The Gaslight Anthem reunited and released their sixth album, ‘History Books’, in October 2023.

Hear ‘Infinite Blue’ from Seahaven’s Upcoming S/T Album

As they prepare to release their self-titled album on June 5th, Seahaven have given us another preview with ‘Infinite Blue’.

Blending glistening guitars, punchy drum work, and a soaring chorus, the track exemplifies Seahaven‘s emotional pull, centred on an unrequited longing.

Mono Previews New Album with ‘Gerbera’

Just under a month before the release of ‘Snowdrop’, MONO have shared the album’s second single. ‘Gerbera’ is an eight-minute meditative offering that highlights the classic Japanese group’s song craftsmanship.

In a statement alongside the track’s release, MONO said:

“The language of flowers for the Gerbera is ‘faithful love’ and ‘cheerfulness’. The countless, precious memories I share with you will never be forgotten. I am so glad that I met you. Innocence, purity, joy, beauty, and I will never forget your smile.”

Flesh Creep Detail New EP ‘Glimmer’ & Share ‘Bubblegum’

Intense Birmingham rockers Flesh Creep have shared details of their new EP. It’s called ‘Glimmer’ and will be released through Music For Nations on July 17th. They’ve also shared a track called ‘Bubblegum’.

Rooted in hardcore, ‘Glimmer’ promises to be sonically more diverse, embracing their love for pop music along the way. The aforementioned ‘Bubblegum’ is an adrenaline-rush of a teaser, yet lyrically direct.

“While it’s probably the most dynamic and dare I say, fun song that we’ve released to date, ‘Bubblegum’ is as confrontational and direct in its messaging as any song we’ve ever written,” shares Flesh Creep‘s vocalist, Tom. “To put it plainly, there are those in our society who seek to abuse and exploit, and there’s the rest of us. We are not the same, we do not seek common ground, we will never be your friend.”
