North West grunge pop rockers Downers have revealed they will release a self-titled EP for free on Monday May 11th. The quartet have also released the first track from the EP – ‘Fragment’.

The track is a slow, atmospheric number that sees the band finding their following the release of last year’s ‘Cold Hearts’ EP.

Downers made the following comment:

“s/t” is the first of 2 EP’s we have recorded recently. We’re giving it away free from May 11th from our Bandcamp. We’re really proud of the tracks on the EP, I feel like as songwriters we’ve matured and settled well into the sound we’ve created on the record. We can’t wait for everyone to hear it.“

Downers will follow up the release of ’S/T’ with several shows:

May

Sat 16th DQ – Empire Fest, Sheffield
Sun 24th Blue Room, Blackpool w/God Damn
June
Fri 26th Mad ferret, Preston (headline show w/Super Luxury)
Sun 28th Maguires Pizza – Jump on Demand Fest, Liverpool
July
Sat 25th Tramline, Sheffield (w/Forever Cult, Fizzy Blood)
