For the sixth year in a row, Groezrock are giving bands the opportunity to play next years festival by launching the Macbeth Blackstar 2015 competition.

The competition will give 10 bands to play the festivals Macbeth stage.

To enter register your band here by January 9th 2015. A panel of music industry professionals will then pick 30 possible bands with 2 bands being offered a golden ticket that secures them a slot in the Groezrock line up. These names will all be announced on January 26th.

The 30 bands chosen will enter the 2nd round of the online competition and will see fans get involved with the contest as they vote for their favourites.

Groezrock passed on the following information for bands wanting to enter the competition:

• Submissions need to be entered before Jan 9th 2015.
• Don’t make us like your “facebook” page to be able to listen to your music!
• The first selection of 30 bands will be announced January 26th.
• The voting period starts Feb. 2nd and closes Feb 17th at midnight.
• The bands that get offered a spot will be notified on Feb13th.
• The winning bands will also be announced by Groezrock and will be added on all their promo material.
• Groezrock day tickets are included for the artists only.
• The Backline will be provided by Blackstar amplification, it is not possible for bands to use their own backline.
• Stage size 12m x 16m.
• We will not cover for any expenses.
• The 10 bands invited to play have no say in day or time.

In related news Obey The Brave, Feed The Rhino and The Hell have joined the bill and all three will play the Macbeth stage in Friday May 1st. Obey The Brave will headline the stage.

Groezrock Festival takes place on May 1st & 2nd in Meerhout, Belgium.
