A man, Rashad Owens, has been charged with two counts of capital murder following an incident in the early hours of Thursday morning at Austin’s SXSW festival.
The incident saw the man drive through a crowd of people killing two and injuring 23. 15 of the 23 admitted to hospital following the crash have since been released with the remaining 8 still in hospital with 2 in critical condition.
A relief fund has since been set up to aid the victims of the crash.
