HMV has sold its live music assets (MAMA Group Limited) to a Juno Newco Ltd, a private equity arm of the Lloyds Banking Group in a £7.3 million deal.

The sale includes several venues and festivals; London’s HMV Foum in Kentish Town and the HMV Ritz in Manchester, and festivals such as Lovebox, Great Escape and Global Gathering.

Earlier this year, HMV sold London’s Hammersmith Apollo in a £32 million deal. The venue was sold to a new joint company formed by AEG and CTS Eventim – Stage C Limited
