Thick Pay Tribute to NYC in New Video for ‘Doomer’

Brooklyn DIY punks Thick are preparing to visit the UK next month, and ahead of their trip, the duo have released a new track titled ‘Doomer’.

It’s produced by Will Yip and sees Thick‘s Nikki Sisti and Kate Black being joined by Mannequin Pussy Kaleen Reading on drums. ‘Doomer’ is a razor-sharp tale of relationship fatigue.

“This song screams exhaustion. It’s about knowing what you could do for someone but being too burnt out to do,” explained Nikki Sisti. “It’s the opposite of self-abandonment, it’s choosing to stop giving so much and hoping that the other person can find it within themselves to do the work and grow.”

The accompanying visual sees Thick provide a visual ode to New York City, visiting their favourite parts of the “Big Apple”
