Genre-crossing trio Love Is Noise is continuing their streak of regular singles with the release of ‘Memento’. The track wallows in reverb before being moulded into a punchy number with Cameron Humphrey’s soaring vocals with flashes of erratic density thrown in throughout.
If you’re familiar with Love Is Noise, you’ll be aware there’s a therapeutic lyrical undertone in their music and ‘Memento’ is no different. “Memento was written about a time where sleep was needed to bring release from waking life,” Cameron explained. “As you find out during the song, the safety I wanted from my dream world wasn’t reached. I want this song to show that life becomes better, you just have to push through those hurtful moments, no matter how tough it gets”.
‘Memento ‘ is the third single Love is Noise have released in 2023. It follows ‘In the shadow of your former self.’ and ‘Boutique’.
