‘Come On Heartache’ Lyrics

Come on heartache, don’t hurt me no more.
I’ve done my time as a prisoner of your wars.
In the middle of the night, got me bleeding out for more.
Come on heartache, don’t hurt me no more.

I detest your pitter patter in my chest.
A cruel conviction, thinking you know what’s best.
The way you tense up every time she’s near,
The way you give up when she disappears.

Come on heartache, don’t hurt me no more.
I’m waving a white flag at the foot of your shores.
In the middle of the night, got me bleeding out for more.
Come on heartache, don’t hurt me no more.

I confess I’m no better than the rest.
Creature of comfort, internal unrest.
Some days it takes me everything THAT I got,
Just to endure another miserable thought.

Come on heartache, don’t hurt me no more.
What do I got to do to feel like before?
Running from an avalanche barreling down your peak,
Feeling like a stone sinking into your sea.
Come on heartache, don’t hurt me no more,
Don’t hurt me no more.
