Four years on since their last album, Touché Amoré will return on October 11th with the release of ‘Spiral in a Straight Line’. It will be released by the band’s new label home – Rise Records. The Los Angeles-based band once worked with legendary producer Ross Robinson (KoRn, Slipknot, Glassjaw, At The Drive-In) on their sixth album.
Its lead single and opening track, ‘Nobody’s’ has also been released today. It was debuted at last month’s Outbreak Fest, and sees the quintet comeback in fine form. Commenting on the track, Touché Amoré frontman Jeremy Bolm explained “[the track] In just a handful of lyrics, it gives the broad strokes of the album. A song and record about forward movement while everything around you becomes destabilised.”
With 2016’s ‘Stage Four’ and 2020’s ‘Lament’ considered some their most poignant work, ‘Spiral in a Straight Line’ promises to maintain the emotional trend. Its 11 songs look set to capture a band experiencing life-altering changes, the turmoil of moving forward, and struggling to leave the past behind. Additionally, amongst its tracklisting, the album features guest appearances from regular collaborator Julien Baker (of boygenius) and Lou Barlow (Dinosaur Jr., Sebadoh, The Folk Implosion).
