On paper, Chicago newcomers New Age Thief are an exciting prospect. With comparisons to Basement and Microwave, the duo of vocalist/guitarist Gino Savarin (ex-Safe Bet) and drummer Brady Corcoran came together by a shared influence of the former and Jimmy Eat World. Since coming together two years ago, they’ve been honing their brand of emo-rock.
Next month, on October 25th, New Age Thief will release their debut album, ‘Stars Align’ through Wax Bodega. The 10-track outing promises to be emotionally raw and refined and sees Savarin and Corcoran merge it with an abundance of energy.
As a taster, they’ve dropped a video for ‘Bleeding Out’, which can be viewed below. The band suggests the track is different to what ‘Stars Align’ is mostly about, proving to be a sharper offering.
