French metalcore titans Landmvrks have confirmed they will release a new album in 2025. ‘The Darkest Place I’ve Ever Been’ will be released on April 5th via Arising Empire.
Considered to be the band’s “most personal and ambitious work to date”, ‘The Darkest Place…’ promises to maintain the band’s momentum built in recent years. With a blend of crushing riffs, soaring melodies, and emotive lyrics, Landmvrks has become one of Europe’s noteworthy metalcore bands.
The announcement of the album is complemented by a double single – ‘Sulfur’ and ‘Sombre 16’. The former is a rugged and chaotic slice of stomping metalcore with sharp riffs and a hint of nu-metal. ‘Sombre 16’ serves as a hip-hop-leaning interlude with vocalist Florent Salfati rapping in his native French tongue.
A video for the double single can be viewed below.
Commenting on the new album and singles, Landmvrks said; “The tracks and the new album follow a protagonist as he descends deeper and deeper into hell, undergoing both physical and mental transformation.”
The Darkest Place…’ will also feature ‘Creature’, which was released this past January, as well as a collaboration with While She Sleeps guitarist Mat Welsh.
Having recently toured the UK with Beartooth, Landmvrks will be back on these shores in May for the Slam Dunk Festival.
