At the start of the year, we highlighted 50 acts to watch this year. Next month two of those acts, Brightr and Anna’s Anchor, will be teaming up together to play a run of shows in the UK and Ireland. The tour will be hosted by Already Heard alongside Flix Records, Never Meant Records and No Reason Records.

Eastbourne “gloomy emo pop” songster Brightr (Laurie Cottingham) is set to release his new LP, ‘Year One,’ this Friday. Showcasing his blend of poetic lyricism and stripped down instrumental, the album sees Cottingham baring his sentimental soul for all to hear.

As for Anna’s Anchor, Limerick, Ireland native Marty Ryan has been putting the finishing touches to his debut full-length with with producer Bob Cooper (Hindsights, Walleater, The Winter Passing). With Ryan gradually moving away from his acoustic origins, these shows will allow him to preview material from his album.

Emo folk singer-songwriter Elliot Sykes aka Left Out will be joining the pair on select dates, with the brilliant The Lion and the Wolf set to play the Bristol show on April 10th.
