With the release of ‘Creature In The Black Night’ weeks away, Dayseeker have shared its latest single, ‘Bloodlust’.

It sees the Californian quartet deliver a bold and bombastic blast of post-hardcore/metalcore, with its heavy instrumentation contrasting Rory Rodriguez’s harmonious cleans. Although the versatile vocalist also shows he’s able to scream and growl.

On the track, Rodriguez shared, “‘Bloodlust’ is one of the more eerie and chaotic tracks on the record. It’s about people in your life who want to metaphorically drain the blood from you — those you can’t trust and don’t belong in your life.’

‘Bloodlust’ is the fourth single to be lifted off ‘Creature In The Black Night’. It follows ‘Pale Moonlight,’ ‘Shapeshift,’ and the title track. ‘Creature In The Black Night’ is released on Friday, 24th October via Spinefarm.

‘Bloodlust’ Lyrics

Two different sides of the story
You’re two faced on every page
I chose to ignore all the warnings
But you keep biting down for a taste

Are you crawling out of your skin again
Tell me it’s not what it seems
Drain the blood from me like it never ends
Cling to my skin like a leech

Every part of you is giving up
Your eternal fate, a slave to the bloodlust

The mark of the beast is a burden
You wear it when no one’s around
The midnight is making you nervous
While the venom falls out of your mouth

Do you even bleed?
Drown in your own apathy

Are you crawling out of your skin?
Drain the blood like it never ends
You’re a slave, you’re a slave to the bloodlust
