Download Festival Preview: LTNT

As the road to the Download Festival becomes shorter by the day, we will be speaking to a whole host of acts from this years festival about what to expect from them at Download 2015.

With their mix of alt rock, grunge and blues, LTNT (Lieutenant) arrive at Download with plenty offer. The North London trio have had an impressive 12 months with appearances at Reading and Leeds, The Great Escape and Camden Rocks. With their high-adrenaline and big, fuzzy riffs, LTNT have been impressing many.

LTNT’s debut album is set to be released later in the year and their appearance on Jake’s Stage this Sunday at Download is the perfect lead in and the start of what is sure to be a busy time for the trio.

Already Heard caught up with Liam Lever from LTNT to find out what the distortion-loving three-piece will be bringing to Download.

AH: Why should fans check you out at Download?
Liam: Because Download is the only show this year we’re going to play without our catheters in. It’s nerve racking, but with some concentration, we’ll get through it.

AH: What can we expect from your set?
Liam: Love, hate, truth, lies, the best of times, the worst of times, actually none of that bollocks just riffs and dancing.

AH: What other bands are you looking forward to seeing?
Liam: I’m looking forward to the megadudes, skirtbox, the bombjacks, my dad Joe and I’ve never heard of kiss but my mum said they’re going to be huge, so best catch them now. There’s a pretty big buzz around jason Mraz so I’ll probably catch him too.

AH: What are your memories of previous Download Festivals?
Liam: Pissing on a woman’s back from up a pole, forcing my cock into my mate will’s mouth, the refused pit for new noise, driving a fiat multipla round the race track and having loads of sherbert in a hotel room with a pr girl and not being able to get it up.

AH: What advice would you give to people attending Download Festival?
Liam: Stay away from me, I’ll completely ruin it for you.

AH: Do you have anything else you’d like to say?/b>
Liam: Dunstan checks in.

LTNT will be appearing on Jakes Stage at 2L00pm on Sunday June 14th.
