Canadian post-rock collective Godspeed You! Black Emperor have been announced as the final headliner for this year’s ArcTanGent Festival. They join the previously announced main stage headliners: Wardruna, Karnivool and Tesseract. Their Thursday night set will be a European exclusive.
Godspeed You! Black Emperor are not the only band to be added to the line-up. Chicago math rock band Snooze will also be playing on the same day (Thursday August 14th).
Commenting on today’s additions, ArcTanGent organiser James Scarlett said, “We’ve been trying to book Godspeed for a number of years so we’re delighted to finally bring them back to ATG for the first time since they played in 2016. I don’t think it’s an understatement to say they are literally one of the best post-rock bands on the planet and a perfect ArcTanGent headliner. This is going to be a truly unique experience.”
