Fast-rising UK metallers Heriot have announced their long-awaited debut album. Titled ‘Devoured by the Mouth of Hell’ and will be released through Century Media Records on September 27th. The ten-track outing was recorded with Josh Middleton (Sylosis, Architects) and GRAMMY Award-winning Will Putney (END, Fit For An Autopsy, Better Lovers).

Having joined Century Media late last year, the quartet have been gathering plenty of momentum since delivering their 2022 EP, ‘Profound Morality’. The EP was the band’s first with guitarist and vocalist Debbie Gough, expanding the band’s sound taking in elements of metalcore, industrial, death and doom metal. In the two years since, they’ve shared stages with Lamb of God, Rolo Tomassi, and Architects alongside UK and European festival appearances.

‘Devoured by the Mouth of Hell’ will include Heriot‘s recent single, ‘Siege Lord’‘ as well as their new single – ‘Foul Void’. You can view the video for the track below.

Speaking about the new track, Heriot said “‘Foul Void’ was one of the last tracks written for our debut album, ‘Devoured by the Mouth of Hell’. Sonically influenced by ’90s and early 00’s metalcore, the song delves into the inner struggle of an individual facing uncertainties about their faith.”

The announcement ‘Devoured by the Mouth of Hell’ comes as Heriot prepares to open the Opus (second) stage on the second day of next weekend’s Download Festival.

They’ll also be joining Fit For An Autopsy, Sylosis, and Darkest Hour for a UK/EU tour in November.
