With their final headline show done and dusted, and a final ArcTanGent appearance scheduled for this summer, Ithaca have treated fans to one final track.
The eponymous track sees the UK metalcore provide a stern reminder of their technical prowess and metallic force.
“‘Ithaca’ means home, the place you return to when the journey is complete,” commented the band. “In this final song, we put this band to rest. Every memory, every tear, every laugh is in here. Thank you for everything. Om namo naryanaya.”
Ithaca announced their split last October. In their time together, they released two albums: 2019’s ‘The Language Of Injury’ and 2022’s ‘They Fear Us’.
Alongside announcing a final headline show, that took place in London on February 8th, the band shared the following message:
“Ithaca is coming to an end. This was a huge decision to make, but it’s the right time.
“There’s been no falling out or creative differences, in fact we’re closer than ever, we’re just no longer able to balance our life responsibilities with giving you the standard of art that you deserve, and feel like we’ve fulfilled more than our wildest dreams could have imagined in terms of where this band would take us. Now, we’re ready to put it to rest.
We don’t quite have the words yet to describe what this band and all of your support has meant to us; that’ll come over time.”
Ithaca will play their final show at ArcTanGent on Friday, August 15th.
