As the hype for Knocked Loose‘s new album, ‘You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To’, continues to rise ahead of its May 10th release, the savage quintet have shared one of the year’s most anticipated collaborations. ‘Suffocate’ sees the Kentucky group team up with Poppy.
Unexpectedly, it’s a frantic onslaught that sees Knocked Loose‘s Bryan Garris and Poppy exchange verses with a heavy dose of blast beats, and roaring vocals.
“It was so fun because her voice allowed us to expand our palette and do some weird, off-the-wall things that we maybe wouldn’t do in another song,” guitarist Isaac Hale says of the track. “We felt that because we had Poppy’s voice involved, it allowed us to kind of push the boundaries of what we thought was feasible.”
