#NewMusicFriday: September 26th 2025

With this week’s #NewMusicFriday list consisting of over 50 releases, let’s waste no time with the round-up.

The much-talked-about PRESIDENT unleash their debut EP, ‘King of Terrors’, with middling results.  While The Starting Line return with ‘Eternal Youth’. It’s the Philadelphians’ first album in 18 years. On the heavier side, ferocious metalcore outfit Dying Wish incorporates more melodic and vulnerable elements on ‘Flesh Stays Together’. White Reaper reemerge reinvigorated as ‘Only Slightly Empty’ homes in on favourable, hook-y garage rock.

In terms of newcomers and emerging names, Royal Sorrow‘s expansive brand of prog- and alt-metal is recommended listening. Isle of Wight quartet Coach Party return with a thriving set of alt-rock songs on ‘Caramel’. Emo upstarts Aren’t We Amphibians deliver twisting guitar lines, shifting rhythms, with debut album, ‘Parade! Parade!’ comfortably leaving their mark on the genre’s latest wave. On the brighter side,  Indecent Behavior throws their hat in the pop-punk ring with their zesty debut, ‘SICK’. Bristol-based trio Last Hyena return with their third full-length, ‘Suspect Your Elders’. It sees the instrumental rockers blend mathematical precision and atmospheric soundscapes.

There are also new releases from Zetra, Scaler, Hunny, Acres, Coilguns, Poptones, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Kanadia, Sundrowned, and many more.
