Raised By Owls Cover Limp Bizkit’s ‘Break Stuff’ for Charity

Raised By Owls

Comedy death metal outfit and TikTok favourites Raised By Owls are in a giving mood this festive season and have delivered a pulverising cover of Limp Bizkit‘s ‘Break Stuff’.

The Derbyshire-based band will donate all proceeds from the track to the nearby Ashbourne Animal Welfare charity, between the 6th and 24th of December.

“Ashbourne Animal Welfare is a wonderful local charity who take in, care for, and rehome unwanted or stray cats and dogs,” Raised By Owls shared. “The charity was founded in 1988 and has managed to help nearly 10K animals to date. The charity receives no government or lottery backing so is entirely dependent on the generosity of supporter’s donations. We’re super excited to work with Ashbourne Animal Welfare on this Christmas single and we hope we can raise a good amount of money to really make a difference to the great work that they do.”

The track is accompanied by a hilarious video that sees the Derby metallers parody Limp Bizkit‘s original video, albeit with a lower budget, as well as an appearance from vocalist Sam Strachan’s mum.

2024 has seen Raised By Owls build on their viral success with the release of ‘Vol.3: (The Satirical Verses)’ in May, before returning to Bloodstock in August to play on the main stage.

Meanwhile, Limp Bizkit will be bringing their ‘Loserville’ tour to the UK and Ireland in March. The line-up for the tour includes Bones, Ecca Vandal, N8NOFACE, Karen Dió and special guest Riff Raff.
