As we get ever closer to the end of summer, there is a smattering of noteworthy new material to hear this week. Aussie metalcore outfit The Amity Affliction return with the emotionally-charged ‘This Could Be Heartbreak’. Whilst two highly recommended and emerging bands, Puppy and Landmarks have new releases. Elsewhere,Lonely The Brave have quickly followed up their ‘Things Will Matter’ album with the ‘Dust and Bones’ EP.

In addition, Thy Art Is Murder, Fit For An Autopsy and The Acacia Strain have teamed up for six slabs of destructive deathcore in the form of ‘The Depression Sessions’, and Oxfordshire duo Cassels provide a dizzying mix of indie and math rock with their ‘You Us and They’ EP.
